Eagles legend Donovan McNabb’s son commits to play WR at UNLV

sidePhiladelphia Eagles legend Donovan McNabb will look forward to seeing his son play in college football, seeing his junior commit to the UNLV Rebels.

McNabb Jr. announced on Friday he committed to UNLV and head coach Dan Mullen, per On3 insider Brandon Huffman. He chose the Rebels over Power 4 offers from Kansas State, Iowa, Minnesota, Iowa State and more.

“Going up there for Junior Day and for the official visit, it’s felt like home from the beginning,” he told Rivals’ Brandon Huffman. “Coach Alexander was the first one to offer me a committable offer back in spring and was the only receiver coach who stayed consistent with contacting me and keeping a strong connection with me. And the environment and brotherhood of the team was somewhere I knew I wanted to be. Talking to Coach Alexander and Coach Mullen, they believe that I can come in and make a strong impact early in my college journey. All I need to do is keep my head down and work.”

McNabb Jr. stands out as a three-star receiver with an 87 score on 247Sports. He ranks 18th among players from the state of Arizona and 107th among players at his position. His composite score of 0.8611 puts him at 23rd, 144th, and 1146th nationally in the 2027 class.

He enjoyed an incredible junior season at Brophy College Prep, catching 23 passes for 280 yards and five touchdowns. McNabb Jr. was part of a loaded 2025 roster for the Broncos, which included a handful of other NFL legacies. In the wide receiver room, he paired with Notre Dame signee Devin Fitzgerald, the son of Larry Fitzgerald.

McNabb Sr. will look forward to seeing his son elevate the Rebels’ offense for 2026 and beyond. UNLV finished with a 10-4 record last season, going 6-2 in its conference matchups. They ended 2025 with losses in the Mountain West Championship Game to Boise State and the Frisco Bowl to Ohio.
