DIRTEA review: I tried mushroom coffee and immunity gummies and here’s what I thought
As we get into the winter months, it’s all too easy to up our caffeine intake to make it through the darker mornings.
For me, this brings energy spikes, occasional jitters, and crashes, so I was excited to hear DIRTEA mushroom coffee offers a sustained boost at a fraction of the cost of my daily Cortado.

DIRTEA Mushroom Coffee 60 servings, £22 (was £39)
Anyone who shops the range of DIRTEA mushroom powders before 23:59 on Cyber Monday (1 December) can get 40% off subscriptions, making the best-selling mushroom coffee now £22 for 60 servings – that’s just 38p per serving.
What makes DIRTEA mushroom coffee different from your barista brew or at-home instant powder is the fact it retains coffee’s antioxidant properties, bulked out with Lion’s mane mushrooms and B-vitamins.
As a result, there’s 80% less caffeine with the energy boost coming from 1000mg of Lion’s mane alongside Vitamins B6 and B12 and Pantothenic acid.
Other DIRTEA products use different mushrooms to improve other aspects of health, with Chaga mushroom used in DIRTEA gummies to boost immune health and Tremella and Reishi in the brand’s hot chocolate to calm the body and mind.

DIRTEA mushroom coffee review

DIRTEA mushroom coffee 60 servings, £22 (was £39)
I have to admit that I was terrified about swapping my usual caffeine fix for DIRTEA mushroom coffee, as I usually go running or to the gym in the morning, get four kids up and ready for school, and then start work myself.
Usually, I would have knocked back two coffees by 10am just to feel human, so I was a little worried whether I’d still have enough energy to blitz my to do list at work.
However, I’m impressed to say that the side effects after drinking DIRTEA mushroom coffee were only positive.
At the first sip, I felt centred and fully able to concentrate on tasks in front of me.

This feeling lasts for around 30 minutes to one hour after finishing a cup, which was enough to power me through a couple of tasks on my schedule.
While I wasn’t as ‘fired up’ as I’d be immediately after drinking coffee, I wasn’t as tense or jittery either, so I was better able to sustain energy throughout the day rather than have a productive morning and a crash in the afternoon.
I also learned to appreciate the taste, which I’d best describe as a smooth, comforting glass of hot Bovril.
It’s coffee with an added richness, and for me, it evoked memories of having Sunday Lunch with the extended family and being in a cosy, happy place surrounded by those I love.
At just 38p per serving this Black Friday, I’d highly recommend trying DIRTEA mushroom coffee for a healthier way to keep energy levels high in the Christmas period and beyond into January.
DIRTEA immunity gummies review

DIRTEA Chaga immunity gummies, £20 per month (was £34)
I started taking the Chaga immunity gummies as the school term kicked back in and the inevitable round of sniffles began to make the rounds.
Two a day slotted neatly into my morning routine – I keep them next to the kids’ vitamins – and they’re genuinely easy to stick with.
The texture is soft, the lemon flavour is light and refreshing rather than syrupy, and there’s none of that chalky aftertaste you sometimes get with supplements.
In fact, I started looking forward to my daily dose, seeing them as being as tasty as sweets.
I’m not going to claim miracles as it’ll take longer than a month before I can fully spot effects.
But I did notice I wasn’t as run down by mid‑week, even when the house was a chorus of coughs.
Value‑wise, at £20 per month on subscription during the Black Friday offer, it works out at about 66p a day for two gummies.
For me, that’s reasonable for a tasty daily nudge to keep my immune defences in check through the winter months.
As the Chaga gummies are so delicious, it was super easy to remember to take them, which I can’t say about all supplements.
