Day after Super Bowl is finally a holiday in 2027

Americans have cried for the day after the Super Bowl to be a federal holiday for decades. It makes sense: the Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event of the year, and it’s the perfect excuse for a party to get your family and friends together. No one should be worrying about bed times and waking up for work in the morning when our opportunities for gathering feel so important right now.

Well, in 2027, the day after the Super Bowl is finally a federal holiday. Yes, it’s purely a coincidence.

Super Bowl LXI takes place Sunday, Feb. 14, 2027 in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium. The next day is President’s Day, on Monday, Feb. 15, 2027, which is a federal holiday.

The Super Bowl has never fallen on Valentine’s Day before. Blame the 18-week, 17-game season I guess. At least couples everywhere can agree that it’s nice to get a day off after the Super Bowl.

There’s already a logo the 2027 Super Bowl:

Looks like it’s going to be a Bears vs. Bills Super Bowl according to the logo conspiracy. Check out the 2027 Super Bowl odds for every team here, including our best bets and favorite sleeper.

Start planning your Super Bowl party for next year right now. You deserve a day off for watching all that football.
