Daughter of WWE Hall of Famer training for potential in-ring debut

Over the years, the pro-wrestling industry has witnessed children of several existing pro-wrestlers step into the industry. From live examples such as Cowboy Bob Orton & Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair & Ric Flair, Uriah Connors/David Finlay & Fit Finlay, and many more. In recent times, Dominik Mysterio, the son of Rey Mysterio, has emerged as one of the biggest names in the current industry. Now, Mysterio’s daughter Aalyah Gutierrez is possibly set to continue the Hall of Famer’s legacy.

Recently appearing on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast (released this week but recorded in May), Rey Mysterio opened up about his daughter’s potential future in wrestling. She has already previously appeared multiple times on TV as an on-screen character during a storyline with Buddy Murphy that took place in 2020. After graduating from college, she spent a day at the WWE Performance Center in 2025 and returned earlier this year in Feb. 2026 for a brief two-week stint.

“She graduated in July of last year. That’s from UCSD [University of California San Diego], human biology. Showed me the diploma and goes, ‘Okay, I’m ready.’ Took her up in October of last year — she loved it,” Rey said. “Sent her again this year, February, for two weeks — she loved it. And now we are in May, and she’s getting ready to go up there and establish herself at the PC.”

“I’m excited,” Mysterio said. “If you would have told me, ‘Your kids are going to grow up and become wrestlers, both of them.’ Ehh, [I’d] think you’re wrong. The cool thing is, I’ve never pushed the sport down their throat. It’s all came out of them. Like, they wanted to be a part of this.”

If Aalyah pursues a career in wrestling, Rey Mysterio could share the ring with both his son and daughter at least once before retiring.
