Darts star stripped of World Championship prize money and loses tour card

Dom Taylor has lost his PDC World Darts Championship prize money and tour card following his failed drug test.

The 27-year-old was disqualified from the 2025/26 tournament after returning an ‘adverse analytical finding’.

Taylor won 3-0 against Oskar Lukasiak in the first round and was due to face Jonny Clayton in the second.

However, Clayton received a bye into the last 32, where he beat Niels Zonneveld and eventually reached the quarter-finals.

The PDC Order of Merit has been updated after the conclusion of the World Championship, won by Luke Littler for a second year in a row.

Taylor now ranks 68th, and is therefore outside the top 64 that earns a one-year tour card.

Having exited in the second round, he would have earned £25,000 as part of the increased prize pot at the tournament.

However, this has been removed from the Order of Merit, which is calculated by the prize money won in PDC tournaments.
