Crystal Palace v Leeds predictions

Leeds will hope to capitalise on Crystal Palace’s wandering eye. This match falls either side of the Eagles’ two-legged Conference League last 16 tie with AEK Larnaca. As Oliver Glasner plots a route through to the last eight.

Palace will be without centre back Maxence Lacroix, with his suspension still ongoing after seeing red against Man United.

But Jean-Philippe Mateta and Jefferson Lerma did return to the squad on Thursday and should be available for more minutes on Sunday.

Leeds, who are in the FA Cup quarter finals for the first time in 23 years, had seemingly got themselves out of the relegation battle, but two losses on the spin the league, has them back in the mix.

Farke has got the Whites believing and have claimed draws against all of the Champions League chasing contenders, Liverpool, Man United, Aston Villa and Chelsea this season.

Palace’s small squad will mean they can’t rest too many players from their midweek exertions, they will likely feel the same defence as they did against Larnaca.

Mateta’s return could play a big part though, going into the final 20-30 minutes of the match.

Leeds could welcome back forward Noah Okafor, if his Instagram post is anything to go by, the Swiss should return to the squad and bolster Farke’s attacking options.

Crystal Palace v Leeds betting tips

Both teams have scored in the last three meetings between the two clubs. And there’s been two emphatic victories in that time, with Palace winning 5-1 in 2023 and Leeds dishing out a 4-1 thrashing earlier this season.

Recent form suggests this could be a ding-dong encounter. Palace have only kept a clean sheet in three of their last seven matches in all competitions.

Similarly the last time Leeds didn’t concede in the league was back in mid-January.

RM Clark, wrote an article in The Observer on the art avoiding a second yellow card, back in September 2025.

At the time of writing, the Premier League player with the most career bookings without a red card? It’s Crystal Palace’s Will Hughes, whose 86 bookings include four in his first eight games of this season.

Fast forward to March and he’s currently on six bookings. Glasner may shuffle the pack, with the trip to Cyprus on Thursday. Hughes could start and that means a good chance he could end up in the referee’s notebook again.

Looking over the goalscorer market. Lukas Nmecha may start ahead of Dominic Calvert-Lewin in attack. Given the Englishman’s injury worries.

Nmecha has scored vital goals against Fulham and Chelsea to help pick up four points for his side recently. If he’s on the pitch, the German will be a big threat to the Palace defence.
