Chris Eubank Jr health update given by promoter regarding concerning video after Conor Benn defeat
Chris Eubank Jr is set to make a full recovery from his undisclosed health issue, according to promoter Ben Shalom.
Eubank Jr was beaten by Conor Benn emphatically in their sequel in October, and looked a shadow of himself putting in a worrying display.

At the post-fight press conference, ‘Next Gen’ had revealed he had been suffering with a health issue, which had plagued his preparations.
The Briton had been left in hospital after beating Benn in their first clash in April, due to dehydration which came with his challenging weight cut.
And after his recent defeat to ‘The Destroyer’, Eubank Jr shared concerning footage of him receiving medical treatment in hospital again.
The video had shown him receiving a procedure surrounded by doctors, with talkSPORT’s Simon Jordan claiming he has a ‘digestive’ problem.
Eubank Jr had faced calls to retire and many feared after his health issue that he wouldn’t box again.
Although a concrete decision has yet to be made on his boxing future, promoter Ben Shalom expects his charge to be restored to full fitness in the coming weeks.
He told ESPN: “There wasn’t enough time between April and what ended up November, but initially September to sort out the issue, it was something that required proper medical attention and he didn’t get that.
“But now he’s getting that, it gets beyond that. He lives the [boxing] life and then he can come back in a healthy and safe safe way.
“But until that’s completely resolved then he wont fight again in a ring.

“But from the procedures and everything that he’s had so far, it’s looking like he’ll make a full recovery.”
Could Eubank Jr fight again?
Eubank Jr would face an uphill battle to fight again following his issues and after such a damaging defeat.
Prior to his loss to Benn, Eubank Jr had been linked with a push for world honours at 168lbs.
The weight class would be preferred so he doesn’t require such a harsh cut, and there are some big names in the division.
Currently the belts have fragmented after Terence Crawford retired and vacated the titles.
Previously, Eubank Jr was linked with a clash against Canelo Alvarez, whom would be looking for an opponent again in September.

A showdown would still make sense commercially given their star power and the Mexican’s intentions to fight in the UK.
But the Briton will need to drastically improve his physical conditioning before any consideration of a return.
And there would likely be some resistance from the boxing public to a comeback given his worrying display last time out.
