Cadillac Championship betting tips and predictions – Scheffler the man to beat yet again in Miami

April on the PGA Tour has been reserved for the elite players and the month concludes with a trip south to Miami for the fifth Signature Event of the season – the 2026 Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral.

The Dick Wilson‑designed Blue Monster, revamped by Gil Hanse in 2013, is one of the Tour’s most demanding tests. Ten water hazards, a brutal 7,739‑yard par 72, and swirling Florida winds ensure that only the bold survive.

This event features a limited 72‑man field, but the challenge is anything but small – even for the likes of Scottie Scheffler.

The world number one, who returns after near‑misses at both the Masters and the RBC Heritage, is just 11/4 to finally convert his second win of the season.

On a course that rewards elite ball‑striking and bogey avoidance, he’ll take some stopping.

But beneath him sits a cluster of players with genuine chances, many at prices that don’t quite match their win records.

Cadillac Championship Tips

  • Sam Burns to win & each‑way @ 25/1
  • Rickie Fowler to win & each‑way @ 50/1
  • Pierceson Coody to win & each‑way @ 50/1

Burns can use hot putter to beat rivals behind

If you’re looking for a player whose form, profile and temperament all point in the right direction, Sam Burns is the one who jumps off the page.

He arrives in Miami after a superb run: T7 at the Masters, followed by a solid T16 at the RBC Heritage, continuing a season in which he has already posted two top‑10s and five top‑20s in his last 10 starts.

Burns’ putting has been exceptional this year – in fact, he’s outperforming every player priced above him in that department – and that matters at Doral, where the grainy Bermuda surfaces demand confidence and touch.

But it’s not just the putter that means Burns deserves backing. His long‑game numbers have quietly sharpened, and his ability to flight the ball in the wind is a major asset on a course that often plays firm, fast and fiery.

Doral is a venue that rewards aggression, as Dean Burmester’s LIV Golf win at the venue proved in 2024, as did Marc Leishman’s the year before.

Both victors relied heavily on power and fearless approach play, and Burns fits that mould perfectly.

Fowler’s Florida comfort makes him dangerous

Rickie Fowler has always been at home in Florida, winning both The Players and The Honda Classic in the Sunshine State, and he arrives this week with renewed confidence.

He finished ninth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last month and followed it up with eighth at the RBC Heritage, where he ranked 10th in Shots Gained: Approach. That means he’s made the top 10 in both of his last two Signature Events.

The 37-year-old also boasts strong Doral form, having finished eighth on debut, 12th in 2015,  and eighth again in 2016.

Coody can climb the leaderboard

Doral rewards power, and Pierceson Coody, grandson of the 1971 Masters winner Charles Coody, has plenty of it.

He led the field in SG: Off the Tee last year and has taken a noticeable leap with his irons, ranking 25th in SG: Approach this season after sitting 94th last year.

His T16 at the RBC Heritage, where he led the field in Approach, marks him out as a player trending sharply upward.

Coody has already shown he can mix it with elite fields – T2 at Torrey Pines this year after shooting a closing 65, T14 at Bay Hill in 2023 – and Doral’s long, demanding layout looks tailor‑made for his strengths.

At 50/1, he’s a live outsider who is ready to make a deserved breakthrough.
