Bloodied Aaron Rodgers fires back at reporter while being accused of throwing Steelers teammates under bus
Aaron Rodgers had red scratches on his nose and his frustration was palpable.
When another question arrived, the future Hall of Famer appeared visibly annoyed, then paused for several seconds before giving an answer.

Why was Rodgers so frustrated?
“I know what you’re trying to ask,” said Rodgers, who cleared his throat and opened a bottle of water before replying.
“I’m not going to go down that road at all. I believe in the coaching staff. I believe in Mike Tomlin — that’s why I came here.
“Players need to take accountability, myself included. And I will, and I will continue to. I’ve got to play better.”
Rodgers and Steelers fans are united on that front.
The offseason answer to Pittsburgh’s quarterback problem disappointed again on Sunday, only completing 10-of-21 passes for 117 yards, a 65 passer rating and a paltry 6.2 QB rating during the Steelers’ 26-7 home loss to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
Pittsburgh has watched a 4-1 start become a flat 6-6 record, while Rodgers ranks 27th in QB rating (40.5).
“That’s what you get for bringing in a washed QB,” one fan tweeted. “He had his time. It’s time to let go, old man.”
Some Steelers fans also pointed out the contradiction in Rodgers missing a mandatory minicamp with the New York Jets in 2024, but publicly calling out his new Steelers teammates after Sunday’s loss to the Bills.
“When there’s film sessions, everyone shows up. When I check to a route, run the right route,” said Rodgers, after being asked about how to improve the production in Pittsburgh’s struggling passing game.
Rodgers also blamed Jets for poor play
Rodgers previously called out wide receiver Mike Williams during his Jets days.

talkSPORT reacts ... Steelers going backward
What did the Steelers expect?
That Aaron Rodgers was going to magically dial it back to 2021 and once again be one of the best QBs in the NFL?
All Mike Tomlin had to do was watch Rodgers’ two woeful years in New York to know what was coming.
Instead, Tomlin went all-in on a 41-year-old who’s consistently blamed others for his own shortcomings in recent years.
Tomlin should be fired if the Steelers miss the playoffs.
This already has to be Rodgers’ final year in Pittsburgh — and his final season in the NFL.

“It was two verticals,” Rodgers said in October 2024.
“Allen (Lazard is) down the seam, Mike’s down the red line. So I’m looking at Allen, he puts his hand up, three guys go with him. So I’m throwing a no-look to the red line.
“And when I just peek my eyes back there, he’s running an in-breaker. So, it’s gotta be down the red line.”
Buffalo dominated Pittsburgh in almost every offensive category on Sunday, including first downs (26), total yards (372) and time of possession (41:59).
Rodgers returned from a wrist injury but was battered by the Bills.
The 41-year-old QB lost a fumble and temporarily left the field due to a bloody nose.

When a frustrated Rodgers appeared at his postgame press conference, scratches could be seen on his face and the tension only increased.
“Rodgers roasting his WRs for skipping film is rich,” one fan tweeted. “From the guy who skipped OTAs to study ayahuasca tape instead of playbook tape. Irony just got sacked.”
“I admired you so much when you played for (Green Bay). Now it’s time to retire,” a second fan wrote.
“I knew this would happen with him,” a third fan posted. “I saw this coming then the chants by the fans to fire the coach. Not good. They need to rescue Kyler Murray from the Cards and win some Super Bowls.”
Steelers could miss the playoffs
Rodgers is statistically one of the worst QBs in the NFL in 2025, while Tomlin made the 21-year veteran the centerpiece of the Steelers’ offseason plans.
Pittsburgh endured a lengthy and dramatic process to sign Rodgers to a one-year, $13.6 million deal.
The Steelers are tied with the Baltimore Ravens for first place in the AFC North.
Rodgers and his teammates next travel to Baltimore for a pivotal Week 14 matchup, then close out the 2025 regular season with contests against the Dolphins, Browns, Lions and Ravens.
