Best games console deals in February 2026: Offers on PS5, Xbox and Switch

Being a gaming fan can be expensive, but there are some great games console deals to be had if you shop around.

Traditionally, the January sales are not as bargain-filled as Prime Day or Black Friday, but I’ve still seen some decent discounts on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and even the new Switch 2.

Save £67 on a PS5 Pro with EA FC 26 thrown in

Other ways to save include bundling games like EA FC 26 in with a console purchase, which effectively means that you’re getting a £50 game for free.

I’ve looked at the prices of all the major games retailers, from Amazon to Very, so keep reading for my pick of the best deals.

FAQs on games console deals

How to find the best deals on games consoles

The best way to find games console deals is to shop around key sale moments and compare prices across multiple retailers.

In the UK, the biggest discounts tend to land around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Boxing Day and January sales, Prime Day-style events, and just before big new game releases when bundles appear.

You’ll often see strong value in ‘console with game’ bundles, especially for football titles and family games, because the overall package can work out cheaper than buying separately.

When hunting, check the usual heavy-hitters like Amazon, Very, AO, Argos and Currys.

It’s also worth signing up to retailer newsletters, creating wish lists, and setting deal alerts so you’re ready when prices drop

How to know if you’ve found a good deal

To make sure the price has actually dropped and you are getting a good deal, start by checking multiple retailers at the same time, because a ‘discount’ can sometimes just match the going rate elsewhere.

For Amazon pricing, use CamelCamelCamel to see price fluctuations over time and spot whether the current price is genuinely low or just a short-lived change from an inflated previous price.

Also factor in what you’re actually getting: bundles can be excellent value if the included game(s) are ones you’d buy anyway, and extra controllers or subscriptions can tip the deal into top deal territory.

Finally, check delivery costs, warranty, and returns, as the cheapest headline price isn’t always the best overall buy.
