Bayern Munich vs St Pauli predictions
Bayern Munich are dominating the Bundesliga this season. They begin Matchday 12 top of the table on 31 points, having won ten and drawn one of their 11 domestic league fixtures.
At their Allianz Arena home, the champions have won six from six. Vincent Kompany’s team have also scored an astonishing 26 goals on home turf, while conceding just three.
Last weekend’s 6-2 home win over Freiburg epitomised Bayern’s dominance.
It did take the Bavarians a while to kick into gear as Freiburg raced into a two goal lead after just 17 minutes. These were only the second and third goals the leaders have conceded at home this term.
However, it was just the kick up the proverbial Bayern needed as they fought back to level the match at half-time, with goals from teenage sensation Lennart Karl and the ever impressive Michael Olise.
Then after the break Bayern turned on the boosters. Goals from Dayot Upamecano, Harry Kane (who else), Nicolas Jackson and Michael Olise again, saw Munich run out emphatic winners.
The defending champions did suffer a setback in midweek. In what was deemed as a battle between the two top teams in Europe, Bayern lost 3-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates in the Champions League.
Lennart Karl scored Bayern’s only goal of the night in what turned out to be a disappointing defeat.
The task facing St. Pauli is immense. And their impending doom only deepens when we take a look at their recent form.
St. Pauli are on an eight-match Bundesliga losing streak. This has seen them drop from fourth in the table after Matchday 3 to 18th, just one point above the drop zone.
This run has inevitably led to questions about Alexander Blessin’s position as head coach.
So far the club has stood by the manager who led them to safety last season in their first term back in the big time. However, with only 11 wins in 49 Bundesliga matches in charge, Blessin’s credit is now in short supply.
Away from home this season St. Pauli have picked up just three points from five matches. They came courtesy of a 2-0 win away at rivals Hamburg on Matchday 2 of the season.
It’s been all downhill since with four successive defeats on the road, with the most recent a 2-1 loss at Freiburg on Matchday 10. This was followed by a 1-0 home defeat to Union Berlin last Sunday.
As well as being their eighth successive loss, it was also the sixth time in their losing streak that Kiezkicker failed to score.

Bayern Munich vs St Pauli betting tips
Bayern won last season’s fixture at the Allianz Arena 3-2. The Bavarians won the reverse fixture 1-0. Although they didn’t pick up a point from Vincent Kompany’s team, St. Pauli were one of the few teams that Bayern didn’t manage to put to the sword. Our Bayern Munich vs St Pauli tips follow:
Bayern set for another convincing win
With Bayern conceding four goals in their previous two Bundesliga matches, there was a temptation to back the Bavarians to win and both teams to score.
However, St. Pauli’s statistics make that impossible. They have scored just nine goals all season, with just three coming on the road.
Furthermore, Alexander Blessin’s team have failed to score in six of their last eight matches.
Bayern are just 1/10 to win this with BetMGM. We’re backing them in the handicap market from -1.5 at 8/25 for better value. A two goal victory sees this pick win.

Allianz goal fest set to continue
Bayern have scored 26 goals in six home matches. They are averaging 4.33 goals per game at the Allianz Arena.
They have scored four or more goals in four of their six games, with only Dortmund (2-1) and Leverkusen (3-0) managing to keep the Bavarians below the four-goal mark.
St. Pauli have only conceded seven goals in five away matches. Their goals against record isn’t the worst. However, their confidence has to be at an all time low given the run they are on, so we can see Bayern racking up a few more in the goals for column.
Vincent Kompany’s team are 24/50 to score over 2.5 goals and 6/5 to score over 3.5.
Bayern covering over 2.5 looks a sure thing. But given the current predicament the visitors find themselves in, we’re going for over 3.5.

New Bayern Wunderkind
Bayern seem to have unearthed another wonderkid in Lennart Karl.
The 17-year-old has only started three Bundesliga matches this season, with another six appearances coming off the bench. However, he has already contributed two goals and two assists in his nine outings.
In one of his rare starts this season, he scored and assisted in Bayern’s 6-2 win over Freiburg last Saturday. He also scored a stunner for Bayern in their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday, his second goal in three Champions League appearances.
Vincent Kompany is giving the youngster more playing time as the season progresses, so Karl is likely to get the nod to play against St. Pauli.
And in his current form, he looks good to add another goal to his tally in what is set to be a comfortable home win.
