Bahrain Darts Masters betting tips and selections as Luke Littler looks to land another title
It seems like only yesterday that Luke Littler was producing an incredible performance to beat Gian van Veen and claim his second World Championship title, but already the new darts season gets underway on Thursday with the Bahrain Darts Masters.
The World Series event is comprised of eight of the PDC’s top performers, which includes the Nuke, alongside eight Asian representatives, and it’s the fourth staging of the Middle East event.

Luke Littler to win the Bahrain Darts Masters @ 4/5
Littler likely to land another title
Littler collected his second World Championship crown earlier this month, confirming his spot as darts’ elite performer.
The Warrington man fell a set behind to Gian van Veen in the Alexandra Palace showdown, but the 18-year-old won seven straight sets to take the final 7-1 in an astonishing performance.
It’s worth noting that Van Veen had averaged 102.99 across nine sets in a 6-3 semi-final victory over an in-form Gary Anderson, but even the Dutchman couldn’t land a blow on Littler.
That level of performance indicates how far the Nuke, who lifted the World Championship, World Matchplay, UK Open, Grand Slam of Darts, Grand Prix and Players Championship Finals titles last term, is ahead of his rivals and it’s difficult to see how he can be stopped in Bahrain.
Clearly, longevity and titles still put Phil Taylor at the top of the tree, but in terms of destructive ability and performance level, it seems that Littler now has to be viewed as one of the greatest darts player of all time.
The fairly short best-of-six leg format is the only real concern when Littler takes to the Bahrain stage, but it’s almost impossible for the Nuke to lose in the first round.
Luke Humphries and Van Veen would rate as the biggest dangers, but the reigning world champion has been housed in the opposite half of the draw to those two.
Michael van Gerwen is the seeded performer in Littler’s section of the draw and MVG was once the sport’s dominant force.
The three-time world champion has been a winning machine, but the previous 12 months have clearly shown that he can no longer compete at the elite-level on a consistent basis.
In truth, a potential semi-final clash with Mighty Mike rates a far easier task than a last-four showdown against either Humphries or Van Veen and the Nuke looks to have a clear path to the final of the competition.
The world champion was beaten by Gerwyn Price in the quarter-finals of last year’s Bahrain Darts Masters, but the Nuke averaged 105.12 in that contest and he is a former winner of this event having lifted the trophy in 2024.
