It has been a year full of injuries for Stephanie Vaquer, and the former WWE Women's World Champion is on the shelf “indefinitely.”

New reports (via Fightful) have surfaced about her absence. Initially, PWInsider's Mike Johnson speculated that her hiatus was due to an illness. False Finish's Cory Hays later added that she would be “out indefinitely.”

This is not great news for Vaquer, as she is in the middle of a feud with Becky Lynch. They were supposed to square off during the Oct. 26 edition of Monday Night RAW. However, while “La Primera” said she was cleared from a kayfabe ankle injury, general manager Adam Pearce opened the show by saying she was not good to go.

Vaquer recently returned from a three-month hiatus during the Aug. 3 edition of RAW. She had been absent from WWE after her WrestleMania 42 match against Liv Morgan. Vaquer lost the Women's World Championship after 210 days to the 2026 Royal Rumble winner at the Showcase of the Immortals and took a well-deserved break after.

She attacked Morgan, who was holding the title, during the Aug. 3 episode of RAW. Vaquer unsuccessfully challenged Morgan for the title a month later during the Sep. 7 episode of RAW.

A few days later, WWE shocked the world and had Vaquer win the title back during an untelevised house show in Santiago, Chile. Lynch was the special guest referee of the match.

Sadly, her second reign did not last very long. She lost the title back to Morgan nearly a month later at Money in the Bank on Oct. 10.

“La Primera” joined the main roster during the RAW after WrestleMania 41 in April 2025. She immediately made a splash, winning the battle royal at Evolution a couple of months later to earn a Women's World Championship match. She then beat Iyo Sky at Wrestlepalooza to win the vacant title and held it for 210 days.
