WWE Superstar and former World Champion CM Punk is now set to appear in Netflix's upcoming romantic comedy Guarding Stars. Netflix recently launched the film's first trailer, where WWE's Punk was spotted in a few scenes.

Guarding Stars is set to release on Netflix on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2026. Punk will star in the movie alongside some other acting heavyweights such as Jared Padalecki, Andie MacDowell, Leighton Meester, and Siobhan Williams. The film has been directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum.

As per ThePlaylist, Netflix wants the holiday-themed romantic comedy to come out in time just for Christmas. The film is part of the streaming platform's holiday movie lineup and combines romance, comedy, and action.

In addition to his upcoming role in Guarding Stars, Punk has also pursued several other acting opportunities alongside his wrestling career, where he has appeared in projects such as, Girl on the Third Floor, Heels, Let's Start a Cult, Night Patrol, Zootopia 2, and others.

Punk appears briefly in the trailer, where he delivers the line, “I love a good makeover,” offering fans a glimpse of his character's look in the film. The film is based on Katherine Center's bestselling novel, The Bodyguard. The story follows a bodyguard who is assigned to protect a Hollywood action star during the holidays.

CM Punk is not the only active WWE wrestler to take part in Hollywood projects. Recently, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes were also part of the Street Fighter live-action movie, while Drew McIntyre is away from television, busy with his multiple acting gigs.
