The Minnesota Wild returned to the playoffs in 2025-26. For the first time since 2015, the Wild won a playoff series, defeating the Dallas Stars in the first round of the playoffs. They would fall in the second round, but still hoped to build on their success in the 2026-27 campaign.
Now, as the team prepares to open the regular season, they are getting some bad news on the injury front. Brock Faber, the top right-shot defenseman for the Wild, needed surgery to repair a fractured skull, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic.
Article Continues Below“He just had a serious surgery and an injury, so we’re just gonna update you guys when the time’s right,” general manager Bill Guerin said. “But he’s doing well. He’s doing really well, which is good news. And we’ll just follow the doctors’ leads.”
