The Dallas Cowboys finally produced the response they desperately needed, securing a win over the Philadelphia Eagles to end their two-game losing streak. However, despite the convincing result, former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman isn't ready to reconsider his concerns about the team.

During the postgame discussion, ESPN's Scott Van Pelt asked Aikman whether Dallas' performance had changed his perception of the Cowboys. However, the Hall of Fame quarterback shared in reply why he wasn't prepared to draw any sweeping conclusions from the divisional win.

“Eh, not really,” Aikman said. “Not really. And I don't mean that as a negative. This is a beat-up Philadelphia team. To come in here and win tonight, I mean, let's not get carried away.”

Dallas deserves credit for its performance, particularly on offense. The Cowboys finished with 416 total yards, including 204 rushing yards, while protecting the football and avoiding turnovers throughout the game.

Quarterback Dak Prescott played a crucial role in the victory, throwing for 212 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. Running back Javonte Williams also delivered one of his strongest performances, recording 155 rushing yards and a touchdown to help Dallas establish control on the ground.

However, despite the offensive success, the Cowboys' defense still surrendered 21 points to Philadelphia. The Eagles also entered the matchup dealing with significant injury problems, including the absence of starting quarterback Jalen Hurts. Those circumstances help explain why Aikman believes Dallas needs to produce more convincing performances before he changes his overall assessment of the team.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer also understands that a single victory isn't enough to fulfill the team's ultimate ambitions. The Cowboys aren't simply trying to secure individual wins; rather, they are working toward their championship aspirations, which require consistency across the remainder of the season.
