The Philadelphia Phillies are preparing to play the Atlanta Braves in the National League Wild Card Series. It will be an uphill battle for a Phillies team that narrowly reached the postseason as the No. 6 seed in the NL Wild Card. However, Bryce Harper and the ball club are ready to make things interesting against the Braves in Atlanta.

“I love playing here. This is one of my favorite parks to play in,” Harper said of playing at Truist Park in Atlanta. “I love the field. I love the setup of it, everything. I enjoy coming into Atlanta and playing. Obviously the crowd is in it. They love their team, and it's just a lot of fun coming in here and playing. Everybody knows the numbers and what happened in the regular season. It's kind of been like that the last couple years.

“Once postseason starts, it's a whole different game. Just try to do the best we can and understand we're a very good baseball team, and we're ready to go.”

The Braves are a good team without question. They did not clinch a bye in the first round since the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers led the way in the NL. Still, Atlanta will enter the postseason with confidence.

While Philadelphia did not play especially well to end the regular season, this is a team with no shortage of postseason experience. Harper and the Phillies know exactly what to expect in the playoffs. They are going to present a legitimate challenge even as the road team.
