On Saturday afternoon, the Florida football program hit the field at home against South Carolina. The Gators were hoping to bounce back after a tough loss last week on the road at the hands of the Missouri Tigers.
It was a rough first half for the Gators, who trailed 17-10 going into the locker room, and things went from bad to worse with an update that caused the game to be delayed.
“We are in lightning delay on @SECNetwork for Florida/South Carolina game. Will be an extended halftime show here and will update as soon as we have more news on resumption of game,” reported Peter Burns of ESPN on X, formerly Twitter.
The news comes amid the recent landfall of a hurricane along the Gulf Coast which has brought inclement weather throughout the Southeast.

In any case, Florida will next hit the field next Saturday for a tough road game against Texas.
