Caitlin Clark got to take in the memorable experience of helping Team USA reach the mountaintop of winning the 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup. So much so that she is still absorbing the success she felt from her journey.

Clark came off the bench throughout the Americans' title run throughout the tournament. Playing in 19.3 minutes per game throughout the six contests for the U.S., she averaged 7.8 points and 5.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds.

Clark and Aliyah Boston paired together on the U.S. squad as Fever co-stars, helping their nation win gold. They took down France in the final, continuing the national team's throne as the best women's squad in the world.

Clark talked about what it was like representing Team USA throughout the World Cup. She recalled her time representing the U16 squad at age 15, which showed how long she awaited the opportunity to make her World Cup debut for the senior national team.

“When I was 15 playing, my first time at U16 USA basketball and they talk about how maybe only a couple of us will ever get to make our senior national team debut when there’s 120 kids. … It’s kind of a pinch me moment,” Clark said.

What lies ahead for Caitlin Clark, Fever

Caitlin Clark now has the title of FIBA World Cup champion. Now, she looks forward to gifting significant success for the Fever in the short and long term.

Clark is having quality performances throughout her fourth year in the WNBA with the Fever. She is averaging 22.5 points, 8.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game throughout 36 appearances. She is pulling this off on shooting splits of 45.6% from the field, including 37.3% from beyond the arc, and 83.3% from the free-throw line.

Indiana boasts a 26-14 record on the season, controlling the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings. They are above the Atlanta Dream and the New York Liberty at the moment.

The Fever will look forward to resuming WNBA action on the road. They take on the Toronto Tempo as tip-off commences on Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
