The No. 14 Iowa Hawkeyes are facing off against the No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday. It's a big matchup that brought ESPN's “College GameDay” set to Iowa City, which generated plenty of excitement for the game. During the broadcast, Pat McAfee shared a take about the Hawkeyes that should delight the fanbase.

During “College GameDay's” Stock Exchange segment, the 39-year-old former punter turned sports analyst/entertainer explained why he likes the Hawkeyes for the rest of the season. If Iowa managed to pull off the upset over Ohio State, the remaining schedule is rather favorable for the program to potentially clinch a spot in the College Football Playoff.

“So, I'm rolling with Iowa,” McAfee said… “I know, if they beat Ohio State today, I mean, they are gonna go through the roof. Iowa wins the games that they're supposed to, normally. Let alone have a little bit of an offense…

“This is a futures bet, saying, if they do [beat Ohio State], boom (Minnesota Golden Gophers), boom (Wisconsin Badgers), boom (Nebraska Cornhuskers),” McAfee said about the upcoming schedule… “[The Hawkeyes] can certainly run it up. So, I'm buying Iowa right now with a chance of hitting for gold, baby!

Although McAfee got the Iowa crowd thrilled during that segment, he ultimately predicted Ohio State to get the victory on Saturday. But what he said still stands. Kirk Ferentz has his team playing great football, having already earned big wins over rival Iowa State Cyclones and the Michigan Wolverines.

The Buckeyes are a big hurdle, but even if the Hawkeyes lose this one, the program will still be in a solid position to make some noise in the second half of the regular season.
