MIAMI – With the Miami Heat surging after a 145-125 win over the Indiana Pacers, marking their second straight victory after the brutal 0-4 start to the season, there's no doubt that immense improvements have taken place. As the Heat's dynamic duo in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo continue to find their groove together, the two-time MVP reflects on the losing streak to start the season.

Antetokounmpo led Miami in what was his second triple-double with Miami, recording 31 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 assists, as the 31-year-old continues to build chemistry with his new team after 13 seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks. However, it was anything but smooth sailing to start as the Heat got off to a 0-4 start, and after two straight wins, Antetokounmpo explains why that ended up being a “good feeling.”

“Obviously we were all kind of shocked of how things were going, but it's a good feeling because now you know that feeling,” Antetokounmpo said. “We just gotta keep on staying humble, you know, because this can flip immediately,” Antetokounmpo continued. “So right now, we just gotta stay in this mindset.”

“I feel like lthe first four games. It was a good feeling. You know, obviously we we were shocked of how things were going, but a good feeling. You know being down. You know being doubted. Being criticized.

Giannis Antetokounmpo on how trust is building with the Heat

So far through six games with the Heat, Antetokounmpo has lived up to the expectations individually, averaging 28.2 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game while shooting 58.6 percent from the field. While Antetokounmpo's performances weren't a concern, it was how the team would mesh to start, as after the regular season opener loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 21, he cited that “trust” needed to be built.

Fast forward 10 days later, Antetokounmpo gave an update to ClutchPoints on how it's progressing, saying that they previously played “tight.”

“I always say that there's going to be times that people say that you're the worst, and there's going to be times that people say that you are the best,” Antetokounmpo said. “Just show up, do your job, and the next guy will do his job, and things will become easier for us.”
