The Dallas Cowboys recently got back into the win column with a blowout road victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys now sit at 3-4 on the season, with both sides of the ball finally having played well in the same game in this one.

Evidently, the win was enough to convince some that the Cowboys' roster is just fine as currently constructed.

“The players are fine. They need coaching upgrades… I will argue all day: It's not talent,” said sports media personality Colin Cowherd of FS1, per Herd w/Colin Cowherd on X, formerly Twitter.

Some have argued that the Cowboys need to bolster their roster, specifically on the defensive side of the ball, in order to give themselves a legit chance of competing for something meaningful this year. The Dallas defense stumbled out of the gates this year to an ugly start against the New York Giants, and has put together multiple other troubling performances in the weeks since then.

Shutting down an Eagles team playing without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts and a host of other key players isn't exactly a great litmus test for future success, but evidently, it was enough to convince Cowherd that more of Dallas' issues this year fall on the shoulders of head coach Brian Schottenheimer rather than the team's roster-building approach.

In any case, the Cowboys will next hit the field on Sunday at home for a game against the Arizona Cardinals, who shocked Dallas in a late-season game last year. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm ET from Arlington.
