The San Diego Padres had their season end at the hands of the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLDS, and they'll be looking to get back next season in hopes of making a deeper run. As of now, they'll reflect on what they need to do to be better, and some of the players didn't waste any time getting some work in.
After the game, Fernando Tatis Jr. and Joe Musgrove were seen on the field trying to hit a target on the wall. It shows that they love the sport, but they're dedicated to working on their games and getting better hours after being eliminated.

The franchise is still searching for its first championship, and it has to be tough for the players and fans all around. After the game, Manny Machado kept it real about being eliminated and how the team fought all season to get where they were.
Article Continues Below“It burns,” Machado said via AJ Cassavell. “It's pain. This team, we fought all year, dealt with a lot as a group. Overcame a lot. It stings right now, for sure. But at the same time, proud of these guys, what they've accomplished, what they've done, what we did this year — a lot of great things.”
The hope is that the Padres can keep that feeling they have now and use it for motivation during the offseason. It looks like Tatis and Musgrove are going to do that, and it wouldn't be a surprise if the rest of the team follows their lead.
