Courtland Sutton anticipates a great matchup between him and Travis Hunter ahead of the Denver Broncos' clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars this season.

Sutton started the ninth season of his NFL career with the Broncos. He stands out as a quality receiver, having earned two Pro Bowl selections in 2019 and 2025.

Sutton discussed with reporters about Denver's Week 2 contest against Jacksonville, per reporter Zac Stevens. He noted his matchup with Hunter, who shines with his versatility as a receiver and cornerback for the Jaguars.

“He's a really talented guy. I got a chance to watch him a little bit when he was at Colorado, and then unfortunately, he got hurt right before we played against them last year. But I know he's a really talented athlete, which is why they have looked at trying to play him on both sides of the ball. Just really looking forward to going up against him. He's had a lot of success and a lot of accolades [to] his name,” Sutton said.

What lies ahead for Courtland Sutton, Broncos

There is no question that Courtland Sutton will be busy with trying to get the upper hand over Travis Hunter. It will certainly be the same for the Broncos when they battle with the Jaguars.

Sutton struggled in the Broncos' season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1. He only caught two passes for 11 yards, being unable to make an impact in Denver's 31-10 defeat on the road.

Denver has the talent to be in the conversation as a playoff contender. They reached the AFC Championship Game last year after securing the top seed in the conference, hoping to build on that progress by getting over the hump this season.

The Broncos will look to bounce back in Week 2, being at home. They host the Jaguars in Week 2 as kickoff commences on Sept. 20 at 4:05 p.m. ET.
