The 2026 Milwaukee Brewers will forever be etched into MLB history. They have finally broken through and won the franchise's first World Series title after taking a 4-1 win in Game 5 of the 2026 World Series to finish off the Tampa Bay Rays. After years of being consistently in contention, the Brewers have, at last, gotten over the hump, and the rest of the team can now breathe a sigh of relief ahead of what should be weeks upon weeks of endless celebrations.
But before the Brewers popped some champagne and danced to their hearts content in the clubhouse, manager Pat Murphy delivered an incredible locker room message — thanking his team for doing their part in giving the city of Milwaukee their first World Series title in history.
“It goes without saying how grateful I am. I'm grateful to have a group like you, guys,” Murphy told his boys in the locker room, via FOX Sports MLB on X. “You boys oughta be awfully proud to know that you’re the first ever Milwaukee Brewers team to be World Champs.”

Murphy of course knows that the team, from top to bottom, deserves credit. The Brewers manager shouted out the front office, and even the team's history as embodied by franchise legend Robin Yount, who was present for the team's celebrations.

We said in Spring Training, you might be shocked. We really did. Then we had people, leadership who committed to that uncommon mindset. Being undaunted,” Murphy added.
“It starts back when Robin played, and the way he played the game. That set the tone for the Milwaukee Brewers. 20 something plus years, Hall of Fame. And he's still here celebrating with you guys.”
These Brewers players and coaches will forever be legends in the city of Milwaukee, never having to spend a single dime yet again on anything whenever they're in the Cream City.
