There was uncertainty in reference to what kind of reception Freddie Freeman would receive at Truist Park on Tuesday night in Game 3 of the National League Division Series. While Freeman played with the Atlanta Braves from 2010-2021 and won a World Series with the franchise, it has been five years since he signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Sure enough, he received some boos from the crowd in Atlanta.

Freeman almost fired back without saying a word by hitting a rocket off the bat that was seemingly headed over the left field fence. Instead, Braves outfielder Mauricio Dubon made a tremendous play to rob the former Braves star of a home run.

Not only did it keep Freeman from a home run, but the play could end up being a game-saving catch. Some could even argue it will be a series-saving catch. A Freeman long ball in the 3rd inning off of ace Chris Sale would have provided the Dodgers with serious momentum on the road. The fact that Dubon prevented the home run from coming to fruition gave the Braves that aforementioned serious moment at home.

The game is currently tied 0-0 as a pitcher's duel between Sale and Yoshinobu Yamamoto continues at Truist Park. It is a crucial Game 3 as the series is tied 1-1. Winning Tuesday night's contest in the best-of-five series will provide a massive boost for the victorious ball club.
