Yaxel Lendeborg had his best game so far on Monday, leading the Golden State Warriors past the Denver Nuggets, 134-114, at Ball Arena. The Warriors entered the win column after a 0-3 start.
Lendeborg was unfazed despite facing Nikola Jokic, finishing with a game-high 31 points on 9-of-19 shooting. He also had 12 rebounds and six assists.
According to ClutchPoints' Tomer Azarly, the 24-year-old rookie accomplished a rare feat.
“Per Stathead, Lendeborg is the second rookie in NBA history to record 30-12-6 in under 31 minutes of play,” wrote Azarly on X.
“The only other rookie to do so was Victor Wembanyama, who did it in March 2024.”
Not bad at all for the brash newcomer.
Article Continues BelowLendeborg had plenty of help against the Nuggets, with Stephen Curry adding 24 points on 8-of-8 shooting, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals and Brandin Podziemski recording 18 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
The Warriors will battle the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.
More details to come.
