The Golden State Warriors played their hearts out on Monday night, earning a much-deserved 131-111 victory over the Denver Nuggets on the road. It looked like the Warriors already had the Nuggets on the ropes early in the fourth quarter, but Aaron Gordon's ejection after racking up two technical fouls in quick succession proved to be the final nail in Denver's coffin on the night.
With the Warriors up by 16, Nuggets forward Christian Braun got whistled for a push off on Stephen Curry before he set a screen on Brandin Podziemski. Gordon did not take too kindly to this, protested vehemently to the officials, and when he already got himself one technical foul, he pointed to the official — which sealed his ejection from this contest.
Curry would then rub salt on the wound by pointing at Gordon before pointing to the tunnel to essentially say goodbye to the Nuggets forward.

The Warriors star just kept on finding ways to hurt the Nuggets on the night. He was as unselfish as it gets; even though he finished with just two assists, he released the ball early whenever Denver would blitz him on ball screens, and this would open up opportunities for the Dubs to attack four on three.
Article Continues BelowMoreover, Curry did not force the issue on anything in this game. He shot the ball just eight times and he made all of his shot attempts to finish with 24 points. He did not have any issues with letting the young players, such as Yaxel Lendeborg, take over. Lendeborg finished with a career-high 31 points in a thorough decimation of the Nuggets' defense.
Meanwhile, Gordon had just seven points on 2-of-10 shooting from the field, which is quite lackluster considering his importance to this Nuggets offense.
Curry, even at 38 years of age, showed just how important he remains to this Warriors team. He may not be the player he once was, but he remains the same level of threat to opposing defenses. His mere presence opens up so much space for his teammates, and he even inflicts emotional damage to the opposition.
