The Minnesota Vikings are the last remaining unbeaten team in the NFL at 6-0 after a wild Week 7 Sunday that saw both the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs suffer their first defeats of the season. However, despite the best record in the league, the Vikings have shown some flaws that could come back to bite them late in the season.
Most of those flaws come on the offensive side of the ball. Brian Flores' defense has been arguably the best in the NFL so far this year, but the offense has been uneven in its first season with Kyler Murray at the helm.
Of course, the NFL trade deadline is still approaching. The Vikings could be a team looking to buy at the deadline to address some of their weaknesses. After an ugly 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Vikings insider Alec Lewis from The Athletic floated the idea of a trade.
“Perhaps a trade for a running back or guard would help the situation,” Lewis wrote. “Those two positions are worth eyeing over the next two weeks, as is defensive tackle. Redmond, Rodriguez and Ty Ingram-Dawkins have played well above the value of their contracts, but the Vikings could also benefit from more accomplished depth alongside rookies Caleb Banks and Domonique Orange.”
Running back has been an issue for the Vikings all season long, so a trade there would not come as a surprise. Jordan Mason missed the first part of the season with an injury, and Aaron Jones went down with an injury of his own during the win over the Colts.
Jonathan Taylor of the Colts, Saquon Barkley of the Eagles and Tony Pollard of the Titans are three names that could be available on the running back market during the coming weeks.

The deadline is coming up on Tuesday, Nov. 10, so Minnesota has a few more games to assess things before making any final decisions about what they want to do with their roster.
