The Minnesota Vikings got a boost going into the Week 5 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, as Justin Jefferson returned from an ankle injury. However, early in the contest, the offense lost tight end T.J. Hockenson and running back Aaron Jones.
Reports indicate that Hockenson was ruled out shortly after being evaluated for a concussion. The 29-year-old will have to pass concussion protocol to have a chance at returning after the Week 6 bye.
“TE T.J. Hockenson (concussion) has been downgraded to out,” the Vikings said on X in Hockenson's update.
Additionally, Jones exited the game early with a knee injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 10-year veteran is questionable to return and has not yet been ruled out with the Vikings-Saints game at halftime.
