The San Antonio Spurs and star Victor Wembanyama are already generating record-breaking interest in Europe months before the franchise makes its overseas trip during the 2026-27 season.
As the Spurs prepare to begin training camp next week, the NBA announced Tuesday that its two upcoming regular-season games in Europe featuring San Antonio and the New Orleans Pelicans have officially sold out. The teams will meet in Paris and Manchester in January.
The NBA's public relations account announced the news Tuesday morning on X, formerly known as Twitter, revealing unprecedented demand for tickets.

âÂÂThe New Orleans Pelicans and the San Antonio Spurs will play regular-season games at Accor Arena in Paris, France, on Thursday, Jan. 14, and at Co-op Live in Manchester, England, on Sunday, Jan. 17, as part of the league's multiyear slate of regular-season games in Europe. Both games will stream live on Amazon Prime Video.âÂÂ

Victor Wembanyama, Spurs return to Europe after breakout NBA Finals run

The record-setting demand adds another layer of anticipation to Wembanyama's latest return to Europe. The Spurs star was born in France and played professionally in his home country before San Antonio selected him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Paris will provide Wembanyama another opportunity to play an NBA game in his home country, while the Manchester matchup will bring the Spurs to England as part of the league's expanding European schedule.
San Antonio will also make the trip following a breakout 2025-26 season. The Spurs won 62 games before advancing to the NBA Finals, where their championship run ended with a five-game series loss to the New York Knicks in June.
The deep postseason run represented a significant step forward for Wembanyama and the Spurs and raised expectations heading into the 2026-27 campaign.
