A couple of months ago, Conor McGregor returned to the UFC after a span of five years. Following an absence of half a decade due to injuries and controversies, McGregor returned at UFC 329 against past rival Max Holloway.

However, their match finished just seconds after starting. Moments into the fight, McGregor attempted a jumping roundhouse kick and seemingly tore his ACL there. The fight was immediately stopped, and Holloway was declared the winner.

Now, months later, in a clip shared by Mac Energy, McGregor was seen reflecting on the loss and blaming it on Holloway. “The Notorious One” claimed that it was Holloway who called for the fight to end, and not him. “He backed away. It wasn't me calling for the finish of the fight. Don't stop the fight, finish the f***ing fight.

“It wasn’t me calling for the finish of the fight. It wasn’t me calling to finish it,” McGregor said. “Don’t stop, finish the f***** fight. You know what I am saying? You're the man calling for the fight to be stopped, the fight has only began.”

McGregor finished off by stating that he was staying on track and looking for retribution. However, Max Holloway responded to the social thread and used his humor to react to McGregor's statements. Without using a single word, Holloway simply shared the iconic hurt Peter Griffin meme from Family Guy, while seemingly comparing it to McGregor's injury moment. The meme went viral and attracted major laughs from the fans.

In the same Mac Energy clip, McGregor was also heard blaming his injury on the dry ice that was present on the octagon floor before he stepped on it. However, UFC has not yet officially commented on those claims.
