The Twins announced Monday that pitching coach Pete Maki and assistant pitching coach Luis Ramirez will not return to the major league coaching staff in 2027.

Maki joined the Twins organization in 2018 and has held various roles for the club for the last nine seasons. Prior to serving as Minnesota’s pitching coach from July 1, 2022, through 2026, he was the Twins' bullpen coach (2021-22), interim bullpen coach (2020) and Minor League pitching coordinator (2018-19).

Ramirez joined the Twins organization in 2006 and spent the last 21 seasons in various roles within the major league and minor league systems. He joined the major league staff as the club’s assistant pitching coach in November of 2021, spending the last five seasons in that role.

Additionally, assistant athletic trainer Jason Kirkman will not return to the club in 2027. Kirkman just completed his seventh season in the Twins organization and fifth in that role.

The search to fill these positions will begin immediately. All other members of the coaching staff and performance staff will return for the 2027 season.
