Days after Oklahoma's shocking loss to East Texas A&M as massive favorites, it's Tulane's turn to submit their entry for the worst loss of the season. The Green Wave somehow conspired to lose to HBCU Jackson State 87-85 after leading by as many as 15 points in the first half.

And to make matters worse, they lost with a play made infamous by Michigan alum Chris Webber: they called a timeout when they had none left.

With the game tied at 85 and 11 seconds left, Tulane's Krystian Lewis got the rebound off a blocked 3-point attempt. After bringing the ball up the court, Lewis picked up his dribble on the left win and was being pressured by a Jackson State defender. So he turned to the referee and called for a timeout. A couple members of the Tulane coaching staff instantly reacted, perhaps knowing that the team was already out of timeouts.

However, it was too late. Jackson State was awarded two technical free throws with 1.6 seconds remaining. Senior Daeshun Ruffin stepped up to hit both free throws. TJ Nadeau missed a last-second 3-pointer for Tulane to give Jackson State the unlikely win, their first of the season.
