The Jacksonville Jaguars hardly made any mistakes during Week 1. Jacksonville got off to a great start, crushing Cleveland 34-10 in their season opener. The Jaguars didn't even need their superstar player to make a big impact to get such a huge victory to start the season.
Jaguars cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter did not have an incredible outing in Week 1. Hunter primarily started at cornerback for Jacksonville and only played a bit on offense.
Hunter played 29 snaps on defense compared to just four snaps on offense on Sunday, per Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk. That translates out to Hunter playing on 57% of defensive snaps and only 7% of offensive snaps.
The two-way player did not blow up the stat sheet either. Hunter logged one carry for three yards and one reception for eight yards on offense. He only added one tackle on defense.
In fairness, Jaguars head coach Liam Coen did warn that Hunter may not have a big role right out of the gates in 2026.

What the exact number of reps looks like. I can't say right now, but I do know that he's a, he's a playmaker,â Coen said on August 31st via The Rich Eisen Show.
In fact, the only other downside from Sunday's game was Brian Thomas Jr.'s shoulder injury. He briefly left the game was ruled questionable to return. Fortunately, he was able to get back into the game.
It will be fascinating to see if Hunter has an expanded role in Jacksonville's next game. They may need him, as they face a much better opponent in Week 2.
Next up for the Jaguars is a road game against the Broncos in Week 2. That AFC contest kicks off at 4:05PM ET on September 20th from Mile High.
