Many predicted Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams to have a breakout party this season. In Week 1, they welcomed the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium, and Williams brought the champagne, the confetti, and heck, the caviar for some razzle-dazzle.

With the third-year signal-caller being a gracious host, the Bears hung 59 points on the Panthers, the highest-scoring season opener in league history.

The 24-year-old Williams went 21-of-29 for 269 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 10 carries for 65 yards and two touchdowns. He was so good that he could be on the cover of Madden NFL 27. Oh, wait.

NFL legend Tom Brady was thoroughly impressed with Williams in Week 1, positing that the former No. 1 pick will continue to shine under Bears coach Ben Johnson's philosophy.

“The Caleb Williams MVP watch is underway,” said Brady on FOX Sports.

“They put 59 on Carolina in Week 1. Ben Johnson wants the highest-scoring offense ever.”

The Bears' previous highest-scoring season opener was 45 points, which they dropped against the Green Bay Packers in 1948. At that time, there was no such thing as a credit card yet.

Brady noted that while the Bears' defense could use some improvement, it is not a big worry since Williams is around.

“You know what, screw it. Keep scoring 59 points. I'm an offensive guy. Either way works,” added the seven-time champion.

The Bears' 59  points against the Panthers were the fourth-highest scoring output in team history. Johnson admitted that he considered going for 60 points with a two-point attempt.

Williams will try to keep his breakout party going in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings.
