Robert Saleh has probably heard the same suggestion over and over again for the past few weeks: Bench Cam Ward. The Tennessee Titans are off to a 0-5 start, with Ward struggling to find his footing in his sophomore year.

But despite the growing clamor to replace Ward, Saleh has maintained his trust in the 24-year-old quarterback, whom the Titans drafted as the No. 1 pick last year.

The outside noise may have been getting into Ward's head, so Saleh wanted to nip it in the bud, as reported by Main Street Media's Terry McCormick on Wednesday.

“Saleh said he had a ‘cool conversation' with Cam Ward yesterday and that his head is in a good space,” wrote McCormick on X.

Ward, who has won only three games in the NFL, acknowledged that his chat with the 47-year-old Saleh was “extremely helpful.”

“Me being so young, he said we'll get up to speed, how I wanna be at a faster rate, whether from his point of view defensively, what they're (opponents) trying to do versus me. Then, for myself, just continuing to play the quarterback position in the NFL,” said Ward, as shown in the video posted by ESPN's Turron Davenport.

“With somebody like Saleh, he's always stayed in contact with me. He's always brought me along. He's showing that he loves you.”

Saleh signed a five-year contract with the Titans in the offseason.

Ward, who has thrown for 896 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions in five games, stressed that building a connection with Saleh, especially in the film room, will only help him become a better signal-caller.

However, they have to make strides very soon, as the season is rapidly slipping away from the Titans.
