After things didn't go quite as planned in Robert Saleh's revenge game against the New York Jets, falling 10-23 to his former organization, the Tennessee Titans don't exactly have time to regroup and lick their wounds. Why? Because they have one of the biggest challenges of the season on the books in Week 2 when they welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to Music City.

Sure, the Eagles didn't exactly dominate in Week 1, coming a few plays away from an upset loss to the Washington Commanders on their home turf, but after watching Jalen Hurts carve up Dan Quinn's defense with his arms and legs, Saleh and company have a tough task to avoid going 0-2.

Well, as it turns out, All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons has a plan to really take it to the Birds in what some may consider a trap game, telling ESPN's Turron Davenport that if the Titans can make Hurts one-dimensional, then Sean Mannion's offense could get exposed.

“Titans' Jeffery Simmons on Jalen Hurts: We just need to make Jalen Hurts be a QB. Stop his runs, make sure Hurts doesn't get out of the pocket, and make plays,” Davenport wrote.

Now granted, even if Simmons is correct and the Titans can limit Hurts to under, say, 30 rushing yards in Week 2, they will still have to outscore him to improve to 1-1, which is a lot easier said than done, since Vic Fangio is among the best coordinators in football. Considering the Titans have a 0-1 record against Hurts and struggled to move the ball well against a Jets team that isn't projected to be very good in 2026, the Eagles should still be considered heavy favorites in the game until proven otherwise.
