The Tennessee Titans will be without Jeffery Simmons for Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals after trading away the star defensive lineman to the Chicago Bears. And now, they could potentially be missing top receiver Carnell Tate after his latest injury update.

Titans beat reporter Turron Davenport shared the injury report for both teams on X, former Twitter. It listed Tate as a non-participant for a second straight day of practice on Thursday due to a shoulder injury.

Tate was banged up during the Titans' 27-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns last week. He entered the medical tent during the fourth quarter after a hard tackle following a reception. However, he still finished the game and ended up with five catches for 69 yards on seven targets.

The Titans' No. 4 pick in this year's draft, Tate has been quarterback Cam Ward's top target this season. In seven games, he has 34 catches on 51 targets for 413 yards (all of which lead the team) and a touchdown, which came in their win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Tate's status isn't the only one that Ward should be worried about, though. Wide receiver Calvin Ridley as well as running backs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears were also non-participants during practice, putting their availability against the Bengals in some doubt. Pollard and Spears have also been important parts of the receiving game this season, combining for 26 catches for 125 yards.

Should Tate miss out, Wan'Dale Robinson and Elic Ayomanor will be the next receivers up for Ward against the Bengals. The two have combined for 39 catches for 382 yards and three touchdowns this season.
