As Week 1 for the Tennessee Titans featured a disappointing outing from quarterback Cam Ward and the rest of the offense in the 23-10 loss to the New York Jets, some fans have been looking to point the finger at who's to blame for the weak start. After a brutal Week 1 for the Titans, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll would take accountability for the performance of the unit.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Daboll expressed how the offense was “not good enough” last Sunday against the Jets and how “that starts with me.” Plus, Daboll went into the next steps of how an offense would improve, starting with the coaching staff and the players.

“Relative to the last game, certainly not what we wanted. Not good enough. That starts with me,” Daboll said, via Ari Meirov. “So what you do after any game is you go back, and you make corrections first as a coaching staff, and then second with the players. You meet on Monday.”

“You go through the tape. ‘Here's what I think I could do better, here's what we need to do better,' and then you watch it, you correct it,” Daboll continued. “You make sure you're doing those things during the week, like this week right now, better at certain things that we have to improve on. All of which I'll keep in our meeting room. So, and then you come out here, and you get ready to go to next week.”

Ward would throw for 140 yards to go along with a touchdown pass on completing 19 out of 32 pass attempts, as Tennessee recorded 68 yards on the ground. At any rate, it remains to be seen if the Titans' offense will improve as it starts on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2.
