On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs hit the field at home for a game against the New York Jets. This game was surprisingly back and forth throughout the first half, with Kansas City holding onto a two-point lead heading into the locker room.

The Chiefs had a chance to increase that lead to five, but Harrison Butker missed a field goal attempt from 56 yards out. However, he got another chance after the Jets were called for an offsides penalty, moving him five yards closer… and he missed yet again.

The fans in Arrowhead Stadium were not shy about letting Butker hear it following the two straight misses.

It's been a tough season for Butker, who for several years was among the most reliable legs in the league, but has seen a steep decline in his accuracy this season.

The Chiefs made headlines, not many of them positive, last week when they signed kicker Justin Tucker to their practice squad, and it remains to be seen if he will get a call up to the main team in the wake of Butker's continued struggles.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs had another scary moment toward the end of the first half when quarterback Patrick Mahomes went down with an apparent arm injury after getting blasted by David Bailey and fumbling the ball. However, thankfully, the play appeared to be just a stinger and Mahomes was able to return for the next series.

In any case, the Chiefs will next hit the field next Sunday for a road game vs the Atlanta Falcons.
