The showdown between Ole Miss and LSU is perhaps the most highly anticipated game this weekend. From Lane Kiffin's return to his former workplace to Morgan Freeman's narration for College GameDay, the matchup has drawn major attention.

Before the game, the famed actor explained why he believes Ole Miss will come out on top, per College GameDay.

In an act of anticipatory buildup, Freeman began by calling out Kiffin, though not directly. Meanwhile, Freeman wore an Ole Miss hat, showing his fandom without naming it yet.

“If I go for what's his name,” he said. “I will not be able to go home tonight. That's a fact.”

Then, Freeman looked over at Nick Saban, who picked LSU, and said:

“In spite of my belief in your every thought. Ole Miss!” The hometown crowd behind the panel erupted in applause

Morgan Freeman couldn't believe Coach Saban wasn't rocking with his Rebels 😂

Freeman, also known as the “voice of god,” is one of the most prophetic narrators of all time. His soothing but thunderous bass voice is legendary.

He has lent his voice to various commercials, documentaries, and other multimedia projects.

It turns out, Freeman is a rabid Ole Miss fan. In 2020, the men's basketball team hosted a Morgan Freeman Night.

Additionally, Freeman is an honorary alumnus. In terms of the NFL, Freeman is a rabid Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Both teams enter the game with 2-0 records. Ole Miss is No. 8, and LSU is No. 7. Security measures are heightened with Kiffin's return.

Ole Miss and LSU kick off at 6:30 pm CST/7:30 pm EST.
