The Houston Texans are not having the season they've wanted at 2-5, but there is still time for them to turn things around. In the meantime, teams have called the Texans to ask about Jadeveon Clowney to see if he's available to be traded, but it could all depend on how this week goes, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
“One of the players that teams have checked on ahead of the trade deadline to see if he would be available,” Garafolo said. “Our colleague, Adam Schefter of ESPN, reported that. The Texans have had a few players that teams have interest in, but even at 2-5, they feel like they're still in it, so they've told teams they feel like we can go on a run here. I would say the Texans are one of the teams where this weekend's result could determine the course of action on Tuesday ahead of the trade deadline.”

If the Texans don't look good this week, there could be a possibility that they look to make a few deals. At the same time, it feels like they believe a run is brewing, and staying pat could be one of the options they're thinking about.
As for Clowney, he's played well over the last few years, and the teams believe that his skill set would make a difference on their team. The Texans were supposed to be one of the better defensive teams in the league this season, but they haven't been able to recapture the success they had last year.
With a matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, there's a good chance that the Texans can get back on track on both sides of the ball, which could give them an even better reason to not make any trades before the deadline.
