Second quarter update: The Commanders quickly ruled McLaurin out for the rest of the game. They described it as a knee injury. Stefon Diggs is their leading receiver now that McLaurin is out for the game. Antonio Williams, Dyami Brown, and Treylon Burks all could see passes in their direction. Tight end Chig Okonkwo is another player that could see more significant work.
The Washington Commanders were dealt a tough blow on Monday against the San Francisco 49ers as wide receiver Terry McLaurin went down with what appears to be a knee injury. Deommodore Lenoir was covering him and as they went toward the sideline, and McLaurin buckled and went to the ground.
McLaurin was grabbing his knee as he went to the ground and training staff quickly came out. The team brought out a cart to take him off the field after putting an aircast around his left leg.
The injury was concerning enough that the 49ers players went over and wish McLaurin well as he was taken off the field.
