Tennessee football will have to leave its narrow home loss to No. 1 Texas in the past if it is going to overpower an Auburn squad that is looking noticeably better under head coach Alex Golesh. The final injury report will give the Volunteers even less room for error. Senior defensive back and punt returner Qua Moss will not play versus the Tigers on Saturday afternoon, per Ben McKee of 247 Sports. He remains in concussion protocol.
Article Continues BelowOffensive lineman Sham Umarov and running back Javin Gordon have also been ruled out for this SEC matchup. Moss, a transfer from Kansas State, has made meaningful contributions in multiple phases of the game this season. He has recorded 13 solo tackles and two tackles for loss, while also scoring on a punt return touchdown versus Texas last weekend. His explosiveness and playmaking ability could be missed in Knoxville.
