Despite his best efforts, Ted Lasso Coach Beard actor Brendan Hunt couldn't hype up the Chicago White Sox enough to beat the Cleveland Guardians in Game 4 of their playoff series.

Before the game began, Coach Beard took to the mound to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. He threw a decent pitch, as the catcher only had to move a little bit to reel it in.

Sadly, this came moments before disaster. They lost 9-5 in Game 4 of the American League Division Series, which tied the series at two. Game 5 will be played on Saturday, Oct. 10, in Cleveland.

Additionally, Hunt delivered a simple but hype message to the team. Of course, he is from Chicago, Illinois, so he delivered an impassioned speech to the fans at Rate Field.

At one point, the White Sox were looking good. They won the first two games of the series before dropping the next two. The White Sox have given up nine runs in each of their losses, only scoring eight.
