Nkomo to lead unchanged Zimbabwe squad for maiden India tour

Zimbabwe have retained the same squad that played against West Indies in September-October for the white-ball tour of India.

Zimbabwe posted a historic first-ever win against West Indies and in the ICC Women's Championship, beating the visitors by four wickets in the second ODI in Harare. Josephine Nkomo will lead that same 15-member side against India, which will also feature Nyasha Gwanzura and Michelle Mavunga, who took seven wickets between them in that win, alongside Modester Mupachikwa, who top-scored in that game.

The squad also features Beloved Biza and Kelis Ndhlovu, who finished as top ODI and T20I run-scorers respectively in the series against West Indies.

This will be Zimbabwe women's first visit to India, and the first time India and Zimbabwe face each other. The T20Is will be played on October 16, 18 and 20 in Raipur, before the ODIs on October 23, 25 and 28 in Baroda. The ODIs will be part of the ICC Women's Championship.
