A couple of days ago, on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, AEW wrestler PAC passed away at the age of 40. The former AEW Trios Champion was reportedly found inside a car, just days after wrestling Andrade El Idolo at All Out 2026. However, no foul play behind his death has been suspected.
Shortly after the news of his passing became public, fans, wrestling promotions, soccer clubs, and fellow wrestlers shared their love and tributes for PAC. One of the most loved wrestlers in the industry, PAC's passing left everyone stunned.
PAC was discovered unresponsive in his car at a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, only a few miles from the location where he worked the All Out PPV event for AEW. AEW has not yet officially revealed the cause of his death.
Recently, at the beginning of the ROH television tapings, a teary-eyed Tony Khan delivered an emotional speech and paid tribute to PAC. Throughout his speech, Khan tried to hold back his tears. He claimed that PAC was one of the best in wrestling and also one of the best people he has ever known. PAC was a part of AEW since the promotion began.
“It's important for us to take a moment and talk about somebody that has accomplished so much in life as a wrestler, as a friend,” Khan told the crowd. “Somebody who I think would have been successful at any walk of life that they set their mind to. And he set his mind to being one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and I believe he succeeded in that.”
Khan added that all the wrestlers performing at the ROH tapings were doing so voluntarily. He also led the building in a 10-bell salute in PAC's honor. During his speech, he further revealed that the upcoming edition of Wednesday night's AEW Dynamite would be a special PAC tribute show.
