Almost a year after Taylor Swift released The Life of a Showgirl, an encore deluxe edition is coming following the announcement of the song “Patient Zero.”
Swift took to social media the morning after announcing “Patient Zero” to announce The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, which features four new songs.

Like it or not, The Life of a Showgirl was a smash hit. As Swift notes in her announcement, it was the “biggest first week for an album in history.” She went to Sweden to celebrate with Max Martin and Shellback, and this inspired new songs to take shape.
“About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history,” she wrote. “I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs.”
She hopes that Swifties like the songs, mostly because “they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made.”

The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore will be released on Friday, Sep. 25. It is available to be pre-ordered and pre-saved on iTunes and streaming platforms.
It is unknown whether or not it will receive a physical release, though. Swift loves issuing variants of her albums. Fans will have to wait and see if she announces a physical release for it.
