The Pittsburgh Steelers watched Aaron Rodgers reunite with his immediate family during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game. Now he'll have another reunion, with wide receiver Marquez Valdez-Scantling.

Fox Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported on Monday that the one-time Green Bay Packers teammates will reunite. But this time have a second stint with the AFC North franchise.

“The Steelers are expected to sign veteran WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to their practice squad, reuniting him with Aaron Rodgers. MVS was also with Pittsburgh last season, but spent the start of this season with the [Los Angeles] Chargers,” Schultz shared via the social media website X, formerly Twitter.

So now the Steelers add to the Packers representation and not just limited to Rodgers and MVS. Pittsburgh head coach Mike McCarthy shares Packers ties with both. Especially winning Super Bowl XLV together with Rodgers over the Steelers in Dallas.

Green Bay originally drafted MVS back in 2018, ultimately becoming one of the final draft selections for McCarthy in GB. Scantling went on to catch 123 passes working with Rodgers as his quarterback, racking up 2,153 yards and scoring 13 touchdowns playing wideout there.

Scantling eventually left the Packers following the 2021 season after playing for Matt LaFleur. And that GB team fell to the San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field during the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs.

But Scantling arrives back to the Steel City with two Super Bowl rings in tow. He won his second title with Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Now he'll aim for a third with the first NFL QB he ever played with.
